BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (UPI) -- Minnesota North Stars left wing Curt
Fraser had reconstructive surgery on his left shoulder Monday, the club
said.
Fraser was expected to return to action in six to eight weeks.
The surgery was performed by Stars team physician William Simonet.
Fraser was expected to be released from Fairview Southdale Hospital in
Edina Tuesday and begin rehabilitation immediately.
Fraser's surgery was the result of a number of injuries over his
12-year NHL career. Most recently, he suffered a shoulder separation
during training camp in September.
Fraser has played in just eight games this season, scoring one
goal.
