LANDOVER, Md. (UPI) -- The Washington Capitals on Tuesday named assistant coach Doug MacLean the new coach at Baltimore of the American Hockey League. MacLean replaces Terry Murray, who was named Monday to replace his brother Bryan as the Capitals' coach. MacLean will take over the Skipjacks on Friday night against New Haven. MacLean, a native of Prince Edward Island, Canada, became a Capitals assistant in 1988-89 after serving two years as an assistant coach with St. Louis.
