	WORTHINGTON, Ohio (UPI) -- Steve Sampson, whose Santa Clara
University scooer team was co-national champions this past season, was
named the Division I coach of the year by the National Soccer Coaches
Association of America.
	Sampson's team was 20-0-3 this year season and the West Coast
Conference champions. In his four years at Santa Clara, his teams have
posted a 51-15-16 mark.
	The NSCAA announced coaches of the year Friday in five divisions,
two at the college level, one at junior college, and two at high school.
	University of North Carolina-Greensboro coach Michael Parker was
named the coach of the year in Division II. Parker's team this past year
went 18-3-1 and was national runnerup. In his 14 years, he had national
champions five times in Division III and in 1980 in Division II. His
teams have gone 215-57-11 during that time. This is his third national
coach of the year honor.
	Junior College women coach of the year is William Drake of Mercer
County Community College in Trenton, N.J. His team finished fourth in
the national tournament this past season. In his six years, his teams
have gone 104-25.
	Miller Bugliari of Pingry School in Martinsville, N.J., is the
coach of the year among boys secondary private and parochial schools.
His team this past season went 18-3-0, while in his 25 years coach, he
has guided teams to a 393-53-32 mark. He was inducted into the New
Jersey Youth Soccer Hall of Fame in 1989. _ Joseph Borrosh, coach of
Pittsford (N.Y.) Mendon High School, was named the coach of the year
among the boys secondary public schools. He guided his team to a 23-0
mark this past season. In his 19 years, his teams have gone 280-72-32.
