SEOUL, South Korea (UPI) -- South Korea's Baek In-chul defended his World Boxing Association (WBA) super middleweight crown Saturday with a knockout over Japan's Yoshiaki Tajima. Baek knocked down the challenger halfway through the second round. Tajima refused to give up and the fight lasted until he refused to come out for the eighth. It was Baek's second successful title defense since he wrested the crown from Fulgencio Obelmejias of Venezuela on May 28, 1989.
