KANSAS CITY, Mo. (UPI) -- Tatu picked up a hat trick with three goals and two assists Sunday to lift the Western Division-leading Dallas Sidekicks to an 8-2 victory over the Kansas City Comets. Tatu regained the MISL scoring lead with his five point game as Comets forward Jan Goossens was scoreless. It was the first time in the Comets 23 games this season that Goossens did not score a goal or provide an assist. The Comets opened the scoring at 2:48 of the first quarter on David Doyle's 15th goal of the year with an assist from Kim Roentved. Tatu assisted on the Sidekicks first goal when Bruno played Tatu's carom off the boards and shot it past Comets goalkeeper Mike Dowler. Tatu then gave the Sidekicks the lead for good with an assist from Bruno. The Sidekicks, 14-8, became the first Western Division team to beat the Comets at home this season. The Comets, 10-13, have dropped their last two games against the Sidekicks.
