WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (UPI) -- Debbie Dolan of Oyster Bay, N.Y., won the Le Menu Speed Stake Thursday at the $1 million Winter Equestrian Festival. Riding Country, Dolan was the 35th of 58 entries to ride the 12-jump, 452-yard, one-round course at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club. The 26-year-old Fairfield University graduate took over the lead with a time of 49.904 seconds. None of the remaining 23 entries could beat Dolan's time, with the closest challenge coming from Margie Goldstein of Miami, 1989 Rider of the Year on the Johnnie Walker Grandprix Series of Show Jumping. Goldstein, a 30-year old University of Florida graduate, rode Ranley to a time of 53.166 seconds to place second. Third place went to 18-year old Megan Furth of San Francisco who finished in 54.143 seconds on Pint O' Guinness.
