	EUGENE, Ore. (UPI) -- The University of Oregon's Laurel Roberts won
the women's high jump in the Eugene Indoor track meet Friday, clearing 5
feet, 10 inches and tying a meet record.
	Roberts was also part of Lady Ducks' sweep in the women's 50-meter
dash. The event was won by Rosie Williams in a time of 6.5 seconds.
	The men's 50-meter high hurdles went to Oregon's Pedro de Silva in
6.7 seconds. The runner-up in last year's NCAA decathlon competition, de
Silva also won the long jump with a leap of 23 feet, 4 inches.
	Oregon International took three of the four top spots in the men's
3,000-meter race. Former Purdue Unviersity star Bob Stoltz finished
first in a time of 8:27.
	An estimated 1,300 athletes have signed up for the three-day meet.
Saturday's competition will be limited to high school and masters
competitors. On Sunday the meet will conclude with the Kids Klassic,
which is reserved for kids age 14 and under.
