_o_r_e_. MINNEAPOLIS (UPI) -- Things are going from bad to worse for disgruntled Minnesota Timberwolves center Steve Johnson. The Wolves said Thursday they have placed Johnson on the injured list because he has a stomach ulcer. Johnson now will have to remain on the injured list at least five games. Minnesota did not add a player to its roster to replace Johnson. Johnson, who was to be paid about $800,000 this year, was a two-month holdout as he tried to wrangle more money from the NBA expansion team. Since he showed up without getting a new contract, Johnson has played just a few minutes in two games. Minnesota also has since acquired another center, Randy Breuer. The Wolves were to play Johnson's old team, the Portland Trail Blazers, Thursday night at the Metrodome.
