SACRAMENTO (UPI) -- The Sacramento Kings announced Friday they have reactivated center Ralph Sampson, who has been sidelined most of this season because of slow recovery from knee surgery. The Kings acquired the 7-foot-4 Sampson last September from the Golden State Warriors in a trade for center Jim Petersen. A Kings spokeswoman said Sampson will accompany the team on its current road trip and may see limited action in Monday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Sampson, a three-time player of the year from Virginia, played 4 1-2 seasons with the Houston Rockets before being traded to Golden State, where he played for 2 1-2 years.
