	SAN ANTONIO (UPI) -- Willie Anderson poured in 7 points in the final
minute on his way to an 26 point output Wednesday to pace the San
Antonio Spurs to a 101-97 victory over the New York Knicks.
	After the Knicks had tied the score at 90 on a basket by Patrick
Ewing with 1:39 to go, Anderson worked his magic to give the Spurs their
15th win in 16 home games. Anderson had 19 points in the second half.
	The Spurs raised their record to 24-10 and gained revenge for a
107-101 defeat by the Knicks Saturday in New York. The Knicks fell to
26-11 on the season.
	Ewing was the game's high point man with 27, as he kept New York
close all night. The Knicks led at the end of the first quarter, 24-22.
The Spurs gained the lead at halftime, 47-42 and continued their margin
at 73-68 at the end of the third period.
	Following Anderson in San Antonio's scoring were Terry Cummings
with 21 points and David Robinson with 20. Johnny Newman had 18 points
and Gerald Wilkins 16 for New York.
	Ewing was also the top rebounder with 12 for the Knicks and
Cummings paced the Spurs with 10 rebounds.
	After New York tied the game at 90, Robinsin hit a basket with 1:26
to play in the game, then Anderson proceeded to score 7 of the final 9
points for San Antonio. Vernon Maxwell had the only other Spurs basket,
with 17 seconds to play.
