SEATTLE (UPI) -- The Seattle SuperSonics placed guard Sedale Threatt on injured reserve Thursday and signed guard Jim Farmer to a second 10-day contract. Threatt must sit out at least five games after being placed on the injured list, but the broken bone in his right hand he suffered against San Antonio Saturday night is expected to keep him out of action 4-6 weeks. The Sonics signed Farmer from Pensacola of the CBA to an initial 10-day contract after guard Dale Ellis was injured in a car crash Jan. 12. Ellis is expected to be sidelined about two months.
