PHOENIX (UPI) -- Dan Majerle came off the bench to score 10 of his 22 points in a 21-1 second-half run Thursday night, rallying the Phoenix Suns to a 102-90 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. Tom Chambers paced the Suns with 32 points while Kevin Johnson had 19 points and 16 assists. Moses Malone led Atlanta with 25 points, Dominique Wilkins added 21 and Antoine Carr 13. The victory was the tenth straight at home for the Suns while Atlanta lost its third straight. The Hawks led 50-46 at halftime after controlling the boards 24-12. Phoenix grabbed only two offensive boards in the first half. Kevin Willis then had eight of his 11 points in the opening 7:17 of the third quarter as Atlanta pulled out to its largest lead at 66-57. But Jeff Hornacek began the Phoenix comeback with a three-point goal with 4:23 remaining in the period. The Suns, led by Majerle, then got 18 points in the next six minutes while Atlanta managed only one free throw for a 78-67 lead with 9:48 left in the game. The Hawks never threatened again. Second-year center Andrew Lang played 28 minutes for Phoenix and blocked five shots after starter Mark West got into early foul trouble.
