INDIANAPOLIS (UPI) -- Xavier McDaniel scored 25 points and Quinton Dailey sank the winning free throw with six seconds remaining, giving Seattle an 87-86 triumph over Indiana Friday night and ending the Supersonics' 12-game losing streak. Dailey gave Seattle its only second-half lead by sinking the final free throw. Indiana's Detlef Schrempf was called for charging into Dailey with a second to play, ending the Pacers' last hope. Seattle's Michael Cage scored 8 points in 2:27 to pull the `Sonics within 85-84 with 1:03 to play. Indiana reserve center Greg Dreiling sank a free throw, but McDaniel answered with a driving 5-foot shot to tie the game with 30 seconds remaining. Reggie Miller led Indiana with 23 points. Detlef Schrempf added 20 points and Vern Fleming contributed 16 for the Pacers. Cage finished with 16 and Dailey added 11 for Seattle. McDaniel scored 15 in the first quarter. Seattle, 20-22, is 3-17 on the road and averted matching a 17-year-old road losing streak record with the victory. The Pacers, 23-22, lost their fourth straight, sixth in their last eight games and eighth in their last 12 starts. Seattle took its largest first-half lead at 35-28 on a 12-foot jump shot by Shawn Kemp 6:45 before halftime. Indiana scored 8 of the last 10 points of the first half and took a 45-44 halftime lead on two Fleming free throws with 16 seconds remaining.
