LANDOVER, Md. (UPI) -- Jeff Malone scored 12 of his season-high 40

1983 with a 108-99 victory.
The Bullets outscored Sacramento 14-3 in the opening 3:40 of the
third period to jump to a 63-50 lead, as Malone hit on 6-of-7 shots from
the field during the run to give Washington control of the game.
Washington, 16-29, snapped a two-game losing streak and dealt the

8:19 to play in the game before the Bullets retaliated with a 9-2 run
fueled by 6 points from rookie Ed Horton for a 93-81 lead.
Horton scored a season-high 18 points and Mark Alarie added 16
points. Malone's scoring total topped the 39 points he scored on Jan. 11
against Miami. Malone had 26 points in the second half on 11-of-15
