LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- Los Angeles Clippers guard Gary Grant, who was injured in Friday's game against Miami, is scheduled to undergo surgery Monday at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, Calif., team officials said Saturday. Grant fractured and dislocated his left ankle and is expected to be out the rest of the regular season although he might be available if the team makes the playoffs, spokesman Bill Kreifeldt said. Team physician Tony Daly will perform the surgery. Kreifeldt said Daly will insert a plate and screws into Grant's ankle. The player is expected to be released from the hospital Tuesday. David Rivers will start in Grant's place in the Clippers' lineup, officials said.
