SAN ANTONIO (UPI) - David Robinson scored 33 points and pulled down a career-high 21 rebounds as the San Antonio Spurs edged the Chicago Bulls 112-111 Saturday. The Spurs, 31-13, captured their 19th consecutive home victory and improved to 20-1 at HemisFair Arena. It was the fourth straight win for San Antonio, and ended a four-game winning streak by the Bulls in the series. The Bulls, 28-17, suffered their third consecutive road loss. Chicago's Michael Jordan, who scored 44 points, hit a 3-pointer with 0.4 left in the game, for the final points. Terry Cummings and Willie Anderson each scored 18 points for the Spurs. Scottie Pippen scored 22 for the Bulls. Spurs' coach Larry Brown picked up his 500th victory as a professional coach. His total includes 229 as an American Basketball Association coach. He is eighth among active NBA coaches in wins. San Antonio built a 47-31 lead on a bucket by Frank Brickowski with 5:39 left in the first half. The Spurs led at halftime 61-52. Anderson's two free throws with 24 seconds left in the game gave San Antonio a 110-103 lead, but a Pippen dunk and a Craig Hodges 3-pointer closed the gap. San Antonio outrebounded Chicago, 48-27.
