From->James Jay Morgan <IZIE100@INDYVAX.BITNET> Subject_>pc-anwhere PC-ANYWHERE uses Aterm as the host terminal program. It can use either Aterm or another terminal emulator to call in. If you have aterm on both ends it can handle some screens faster. Disclaimer: I've only tried it once, using Procomm to call in. If there is someone out there using it regularly they would be better able to say how well it works. ----- From->Erwin Welsch <EWELSCH@WISCMACC> >From: IN%"PACS-L@UHUPVM1.BitNet" "Public-Access Computer Systems Forum" > >----------------------------Original message---------------------------- >Regarding PC-ANYWHERE, does anyone know if it can be used with any terminal >emulator or must it be used with ATERM? > To: David McDonald From: University of Michigan Libraries Our experience at the University of Wisconsin has been with using a PC as host and both PCs and Macs (with PC MacTerm) as remotes. But the manual seems to suggest (page 11-10) that outher emulations are possible. PC Anywhere does work with CD-ROMs or other distant databases and seems to fit within the copyright specifications of just one user at a time, but it is slow at 2400 bps.
