I do not want to add another opinion whether it should be possible to alter header lines or not (I stated my opinions/comments a couple of weeks ago). From what I read (and have tried out myself) it is obvious that some tags should not be altered (as mailer will still act according to the original header) and some may be altered, as they have no influence on the routing (for example - I forwarded a message to another userid I use, but edited the header to remove all "from" fields, so RESENT-From: became From: etc.). Richard, could you please state which Tags should not be altered (according to the above mentioned criterion) and which might be altered, (at the risk of illegal headers). /Zvika p.s. I can't refrain from suggesting to add a line command: REFORMAT HEADER, which will reformat the header according to what actually is written in it, when entering the SEND command; another possibility is to have a REFORMAT.HEADER option which, when set to yes yes, reformat the header if any changes were introduced in it (and MAIL knows about it anyway). What does the MAIL/BOOK community think about it ?
