Given all the interest in coming up with all the extra money for NASA to replace Challenger, I was wondering if we would have much of a space program after the MANDATORY budget cuts take effect (as far as I can remember, NASA wasn't exempted) when the President and Congress fail to come up with a budget that reduces the deficit as required. HOW is NASA going to cope with a budget cut of 25% ?????????????? I think that there's a real problem, just down the road - and when the public realizes the impact on their own favorite project, the screams will be enormous (you like trains, well, kiss AMTRAK good bye; you like National Parks, well kiss them good by too, because they won't be able to keep them open, or they'll have to charge astronomical fees, etc.) ******************************************************************* * And I don't think that money will be found for space projects. * ******************************************************************* GO AHEAD - MAKE MY DAY - Prove that I'm wrong.
