[bit.listserv.i-amiga] I have a Trumpcard and Amax.....

MARTIN%TIGGER.DECNET@MSUS1.BITNET (02/02/90)

I recently purchased a IVS Trumpcard and a Segate 296N (80mg) HD and am
now curious as to how I go about using the HD w/ my Mac files. I recall
earlier on the net someone mentioning the use of Hard Drives w/ Amax.
Could comeone tell me some further information on this subject. Also for
those of you w/ Amax and an Apple (clone) drive, you can place a disk in
one of the amiga drives and format it to the full 800K of a normal Mac
disk. This is very handy because if you have 2 amiga drives you can use
them for your system files and programs (converted from Mac) and use the
apple drive as a DATA disk so that your data can be transported to a real
mac for printing, etc.

I would really appriciate any help on the HD situation.

Thanks.

AMAx presently does not support Hard Drives, but according to the developers
hard drive support WILL be included in the upgrade. There are also public
domain hacks (I don't know exactly where) that will allow you to use a hard
drive with the present version of AMax.

That's really handy, considering that amiga drives can hold more information
than mac drives! :^)

You're welcome.

BTW I have no affiliation whatsoever with the company who makes AMax, I've just
been someone who calls them up and asks questions.
