To whom it may concern: Brace yourselves.
I have been amazed at the mutual suspicion on lots of people's parts
these past days after I returned. For a couple of hot topics, the
only discussion that appears to be going on is a "why? why not?"
argument.
Come on, people! Wake up! We can ALL, yes, ALL, do better than this!
Of course, I have a proposition. This weekend (which, btw, is M. L.
King weekend), why don't we all just leave the list alone? Never mind
how right or wrong anyone is. Just be quiet and take some time alone
with God. Ask Him to remind you of your own humanity and your own
capacity to goof. *Then*, when you're ready to concede that you might
be wrong, we can resume our discussions. (I don't want any messages
saying, "Well, I can do that right now!" No shortcuts. Take the full
route: prayer, meditation, Bible reading, reflection.)
How about it, folks?
