Hello all, I just thought I would share some musings with you. One of the names that our Lord chose fro Himself was Jehovah-Nissi, or Jehovah my banner. Would you consider a symbol to represent a banner, or at least have a similiar purpose as a banner? Consider Moses' staff. Was the staff just a symbol? But our Lord chose to work with this staff. He used this staff in Pharoah's court, and He used this staff in war. When Moses raised the staff, the Isrealites would win. Well, it is not my intention to get to deep in thought about this, just a few questions that came to my mind as I was reading some of the posts. Have a wonderful day in the Lord. ** Gary Samek **** C009GARY@UTARLVM1 * * ****

I think we can treat symbols like Paul talked about meats. If the symbol doesn't bother you, don't worry about it, but if it causes your brother to stumble, hide it or what ever. Also, if you start attracting someone thinking your a Satanist or something like that, witness to them, and perhaps put it out of sight. As Ed Cole said, "Perversion is anything carried to the extreme." I think we should "Try to live at peace with all men.", but the Bible also doesn't call us to be doormats. Hope that helped some.
