     This I agree with.  I think the purpose of this list should be
to discuss Christianity.  So a debate of other religions shouldn't be
on here, that's what BELIEF-L is for.  However, should someone decide
to attack another religion, someone should have the right to defend
it.  Negative comments about another religion do not belong here.
This list should not be just something where people discuss their
hatred for religions other than Christianity.  I just don't feel
hatred is part of the Christian way.

Tom,
    I'm sorry but I disagree.  I don't think a discussion of other faiths can
hurt us if we keep it in it's proper perspective.  We have all compared them
with what our bible tells us.  We are supposed to question things and compare
to the word of God as our guide.  Our bible talks about other faiths.  I think
not knowing about other faiths can be more harmful than knowing.  If we know th
at a certain faith is against Christ and his teaching we can guard against the
wolf in sheeps clothing.  Remember some false teachings  will seem to be real
good and in tune with God.
