[bit.listserv.christia] KE: Heaven

D2MG@SDSUMUS (Kurt Evans) (02/14/90)

Revelation 21:
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and
the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.

2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven
from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the
tabernacle of God is among men, and He shall dwell among them, and they
shatll be His people, and God Himself shall be among them,

4 and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there
shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning,
or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."

5 And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all
things new." And He said, "Write, for these words are faithful and
true."

6 And He said to me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from
the spring of the water of life without cost.

7 "He who overcomes shall inherit these things, and I will be his
God, and he will be My son."

. . .

10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain,
and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from
God,

11 having the glory of God. Her brilliance was like a very costly
stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper.

. . .

21 . . . And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent
glass.

22 And I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God, the Almighty, and
the Lamb, are its temple.

23 And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine upon
it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

. . .

27 and nothing unclean and no one who practices abomination and
lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written
in the Lamb's book of life.

Revelation 22:
And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal,
coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb,

2 in the middle of its street. And on either side of the river was
the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit
every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the
nations.

3 And there shall no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and
of the Lamb shall be in it, and His bond-servants shall serve Him;

4 and they shall see His face, and His name shall be on their
foreheads.

5 And there shall no longer be any night; and they shall not have
need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord
God shall illumine them; and they shall reign forever and ever.

                                       For Jesus' glory,
                                       Kurt
