John 17:
8 ". . . for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and
they received them, and truly understood that I came forth from You,
and they believed that You sent me.
9 "I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but
of those whom You have given Me; for they are Yours; . . ."
--Jesus in prayer
I would appreciate it if prayer requests for others would tell
clearly where they appear to stand with the Lord. I think our prayers
for Christians should be quite different from those for non-Christians,
and this clarification will take if-then clauses out of my prayers and
help me to pray in strong faith that specific requests will be granted.
Thanks,

Kurt -
But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
instructions of Jesus (Mt. 5:45)
Fist of all, then I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions be
made for ALL men....This is good and it is acceptable in the sight of
God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge
of the truth.
1 Tim. 2:1,3-4
Ah--Kurt, proof texts are a dangerous thing. But lest I be caught, let me
remember that
whoever says "you fool!" shall be liable to the hell of fire
Mt. 5:22
Let us pray for all, without judgement or reservations, as our Father
urges us.
in the peace of Christ, Michelle
