As a Christian, I grieve to see one of God's greatest gifts--the Bible--falsely contrasted to another of our greatest gifts--science. Religion and science are two ways of knowing, two windows through which to view the awesome mystery of creation. The trouble arises when you mix the two--either by viewing science as a religion and leaving God out of the equation, or by viewing the Bible as a scientific text. Einstein, perhaps our greatest scientist, said exactly what you are saying. The purpose of his research was to understand God's thoughts. Thanks again. John Cromartie.
