okay...something i have been curious about for quite some time.... what's the deal with the cave in highpool? there has to be one because of the little boy and the note on the desk, but i have used everything to try to find it. "it's over there in the bushes" never helps. another thing about highpool is red ryder...i killed him, but i don't think i was supposed to. are you supposed to kill him? why can't you get his air gun? why is he so powerful with a b.b. gun? i have had to start over twice so far, and this will make no. 3. my software keeps messing up...does anyone else have the same problem? any hints welcome.... hartjs@morekypr morehead state university ky.

To get into the cave at highpool, you'll need to tie the rope to the tree. Then somebody with the climbing skill can climb the party down. Once there is a different story. There's a collapsed wall blocking your way, that I was never able to pass. I have no idea what to do with Red Ryder... Charles "Skywise" Cafrelli

The collapsed wall can be navigated by ONE person.
You must seperate your party, and have ONE person try to go through the rocks.
Be sure to pick the guy with the highest dexterity, otherwise he will keep
hurting you (i mean IT) (Slipping and falling).
Beware though, the creatures on the other side can be quite nasty
to a begging level player! (although nothing compared to the Warriod Mark VII's)
in Las Vegas!!

thanks, everyone that told me about the cave, especially the advice about the npc. my favorite npc was christina. i liked the ones in darwin's village, too. i have a question about las vegas though. are you supposed to kill fat freddy and/or faran brygo? i have a friend that struck the deal with fat freddy, took the ring back and fat freddy attacks and all he got out of it was $900. he went ththrough the hideout at faran brygo's and discovered the note that said "you are 40% through the game". i, however, couldn't get in to see brygo because i struck the deal with him. AND...does it really matter if you kill charmaine at the temple of the mushroom cloud? i mean, the first time, i killed her and still found the sewers, in which i accidentally killed myself, but that's beside the point. do you really NEED to go through the trouble of getting the bloodstaff? oops...i forgot to ask a question about brygo's hideout...what is the graffiti on the wall? you can only go in there once, and my friend didn't have cryptology. hartjs@morekypr morehead state university, ky.

It's right behind a tree along that wall. Once in the cave you use someone with CLIMBING skill to climb over the rocks. Clear at the back of the cave you'll find a NPC to add to your party if you want. I haven't played for a while but I assume Red Ryder is the boy whose dog you kill in the cave??? After you kill the dog, he attacks you when you try to leave Highpool. I just killed him. I don't think you can leave without a confrontation. I might be mistaken though because I don't remember his name being Red Ryder. Hope this helps...... ==Brett

I have ran into several problems with the game:
1) My characters fail to detect a safe in Ugly's office.
I have been trying very hard to make it see the damn thing
by using perception skills,without much success. I know
that it's there because the clue book I bought said so.
How can I make my characters see it so that I can open it?
2) I have the VISA card on me but I could not give it to
Head Crusher! I found Head Crusher in a bar (around the
bathroom) I have been wondering around him in vain to
try to give him the card. I stood next to him and put
Use Item, Visa card--that didn't work. I went on the
empty seat there to try the same thing but it says,
"Nothing happened" or somthing like that. In any case
I cannot give the damn card to him. How can I give him
the VISA card.
3) Since the above two failed me, I wondered around NEEDLES
and found a BLOOD STAFF after killing the blood priest.
It's a real one because I had it verified--the other ones
are crounched up. Now I tried to give it back to the bishop
in the temple located at the bottom right corner of NEEDLES,
but I can't give it to him.(via USE ITEM--BLOOD STAFF) I
can't even get next to him! It just kept on saying, "Stay
off the alter" or whatever, not allowing me to get next to
the guy. Am I suppose to give the guy the blood staff or
what? If I'm suppose to give him the staff, how may I do so?
4) Please advise me on who are the good characters. I currently
have my four chosen one + the MAYOR + ACE + the women-Christina.
I notice that another character is also willing to join the party,
he is found in the Vegas jail--the COVENANT. Now this guy is
talented! Anyway who are characters to have on the team?
5) I remember a while back someone was talking about some kind of
cave in the game that shows your progress in the game. Where's
this cave.
