Nelson Pardee performed and collected benchmarks using TESTBASE as in SAS 6.03 for his 1988 SUGI paper. Others added to what he did. I do not have the most recent version and wonder if Nelson or others on the list might have more they can report. I am looking especially for: 386 25 & 33 MHz boxes 486 box Sun 3/160 or other Sun 3 Sparcstation 1 or other Sun 4 IBM 4381 under MVS and CMS or either IBM 3090 MVS/XA with vectorized SAS code Thanks.

Those 2 or 3 of us still chugging along on a 80286-12MHz, 640K, would appreciate seeing relative comparisons that include the "low" end. Perhaps that will provide some ammunition in our fight to get a "real" computer on which to run our PC-SAS. +-----------------------------------------------------------------+ Dr. Steven C.
