Thanks for the response, Jeff, to my prior question about why WIN386 seems to be trashing the shared memory on my 3Com card after exiting Windows. However, I don't understand the comment by Microsoft about "Win386 not being made for networks." The manual, and even the supplement "Using Windows/386" mentions Network compatibility, and specifically mentions the 3Com card, and Novell as being supported! Does this mean they are failing to support what they print? Everything seems to work perefectly *while Windows is running* except that the MS-DOS exec window can't successfully copy files to/from the server. I can run programs from the server, etc, with few problems. It would seem that something in Windows is at fault, but impossible to be certain. It's just hard to imagine that MS doesn't want to support their product on an otherwise generic LAN setup. (IBM Model 70, 3Com 3c523, Netware 2.15a) What could be simpler?
