>I have just installed a NW 386 server, with an HP Laserjet II hanging off >its COM1:. Settings for the printer are 9600,8,n,1 with XON/XOFF enabled; >Whenever I try to print a WordPerfect file (LPT1 capture), the print server >announces OFFLINE after the printer has received only a few hundred bytes >of data. The only way I've been able to clear this condition is to kill >the print job, unload PSERVER.NLM, and then reload it. >Apparently the print server is seeing an XOFF from the printer, but no >XON. Any ideas? > -- Gary Chapman There have been PATCH fixes for NW 386 printing. They are on CompuServe's NetWire NOVA, in Library 17. It is a large file. I do not know of any Internet server that has it available. It is called 386PRT.ZIP Get a hold of the file, and your problems will be over. I will put it on our Boston public BBS. Phone 617-932-0310. Give us till next week 1/15.
