Hi all... First many thanks for your replies to my TCP/IP questions. I will first try this Wollongong (correct?) package, but it is quite expensive here. List price about $600. The biggest Novell distributor told me, that they have very good experiences with a lot of NICs. I would try your suggested solutions but I cant reach the given adresses in the moment! (Im a specialist only for Novell-hope so:-)) But another thing: have you ever tried to run two servers with identical file structure within one network? I am doing that (for safety reasons, I am copying every night the whole stuff from the "working server" to the "supporting server") and it works fine. The only problem I have is printing. It seems not to be possible to service the queues of the S-server by the W-server, there is no command like "attach print server" or so. I tried to copy the contents of the (identical) printqueues (including the *.sys file) but I didnt get any entries in the pconsole screen although the files are definitely on the disk. Any solutions? I've heard about Novell/386/3.1 that should support two file servers with two identical disks. It doesnt matter if one disk or one CPU dies, the other server will work either with his own disk or with the other. I think that will give the very high security level you will need working professional. Did you ever hear about it and do you know if this annoucement will become reality? It is more likely that it will be in the next 3.2 release, which is scheduled to come out at the end of 1990. Novell's naming services are rumored to be in the 3.2 release as well. We will see.
