In talking with one of the key players at Microtest, I found out that a new version of their LANPORT will be released (most likely within a month... can you say NetWorld, Boston boys and girls). Anyway, the current release requires that you also purchase and install LAN Systems LANSpool. The new version, dubbed "printer in a box", requires nothing special It will work directly with the NetWare print queues. We will be pruchasing quite a few of these new babies, so expect a status report as soon as I can get my hands on one. By the way, the technical support and service given by the Microtest people are first rate. Their Microtest Scanner is a real winner and so is LANPORT. It will be even better with the new release.
