As I promised, here's a quickie on the BeaverGate SMTP gateway for QuickMail: What is BeaverGate? It is a QuickMail bridge for sending and receiving e-mail to and from TCP/IP based networks, such as the Internet. The bridge uses the TCP/IP SMTP protocol to deal directly, as an equal, with all other nodes on the network. No local host is required. It is also an SMTP receive and SMTP send programs, used by the QuickMail bridge. How Much Does It Cost? It's free. What are Its Requirements? CE Software's QuickMail for Macintosh, version 2.01 or higher A separate Mac acting as a QuickMail server is recommended Internet name server on the TCP/IP network Mac system software 6.0.2 or higher running MultiFinder Apple MacTCP version 1.0 or higher An ethernet card supported by MacTCP How Does One Get a Copy of BeaverGate?
