We have a PS/2 Model 80 running Advance Netware v. 2.15 serving 15-20 workstations on both Token Ring and Ethernet. We have 3 printers, 2 HP LaserJetII's (one with SuperCartridge and one without) and an Apple Laserwriter PlusIINT. The Apple is connected to a 386 Stand alone as well as to the file server. It works fine (in fact great) as a local printer. The Problem: When used as a network printer, it prints only 3 or 4 pages of a long document. All fonts, pitches, etc. are in tact. (This is used mainly with Word Perfect 5.0). On the file server, it is set up to use XON/XOFF as are the HPs. Trial: When 4 pages of a from 1 document were sent separately, pages 1, 3, and 4 were printed. Page one was full of different fonts and sizes. Page 2 was sent successfully later. It appears that I don't have a large enough buffer, but why do the other lasers work OK and why does it work perfectly as a local off the 386? Any suggestions? Thanks !
