Glenn, I have been trying to install a Storage Dimensions
LAN 650 SPS internal hard disk in a Model 80-311 server
with IBM 16/4 token ring, 12 MB RAM. Of course, the 300 MB
drive that comes with the 80 is an ESDI. I have had all
kinds of trouble running the installation software on the
model 80 (it just hangs before bringing up the main menu).
Storage Dimensions uses that Future Domain card. Their
tech support is extremely helpful but can't figure it out.
They're starting to blame my 80, which checks out on
diagnostics. Do you know of any problems with a Future
Domain Microchannel SCSI card in a model 80?
