Re: Sophie Wiecek's File Server Not Found problem. Because of the intermittent nature, I would suspect the cabling -- perhaps a loose barrel connector or a stressed out T or a bad-tap on the thick net. If you are within cabling specs, I would recommend breaking the wire at convenient points and terminating them and see if you can get workstations from the end down to the server. A good way to test the cable is to run 3-com's diagnostics with two PCs on two ends of the cable. One PC acts as the echo server and the other runs the diagnostics. You can run this even with the file-server disconnected from the LAN. We have seen such intermittent problems many times, and it almost always points to the cabling. /Osman\ Voice: 312-567-6751
