>My apologies if this has been discussed before, but I would appreciate >some help with a minor problem. When I generated our network the COM1 >port on the file server was not being used. Now I have connected a >piece of equipment to the COM1 port and the system doesn't seem to recognize >it. We're running Advanced NetWare 286, version 2.15A on an IBM PS/2 >model 80. I've recently added a Para Systems UPS and their Network >Manager software, which sends data through the COM1 port. >How do I activate the COM1 port on the server? >Thanks. >Bob Samson MCA machines like to have devices plugged into its ports before a gen.
