A minor correction on CC:Mail limits/costs: with the EXPAND package,
you may have any number of mailboxes on 1 server. The only limitation is on
concurrent logins allowed by that server. We have 190 mailboxes on one
SFT2.15 server thus far, made feasible by discouraging use of the NOTIFY and
MESSENGER TSRs by people who aren't normally logged into that server.
Those with MACs will need to buy the Mac version, but can use the
same mail server as PCs, as we have here.
If you use PC Anywhere on a networked PC, its users can access CC:Mail
  without CC:Mail Remote.
CC:Mail also sells directly to Universities for a 25% discount from
  the prices listed.

My understanding is that the EXPAND package changed last summer. We
bought ours last spring, and it did indeed provide unlimited local
entries in a single mail directory (we have 1642 entries on one of
our two post offices!). Since that time, however, we have been told
that EXPAND will in the future only provide 100 additional entries per
purchase.

While I'm talking :-), I'd like to report a bug in cc:Mail IMPORT.EXE.
Cc:Mail limits messages to 20 items, but IMPORT appears not to reject
messages consisting of too many items (I've only tried 21), and MAIL.EXE
(not _too_ surprisingly) blows up and hangs the PC when the recipient
tries to read the message.

This is correct.

As of v3.1, cc:Mail IMPORT returns an error message when you try to import
a message containing >20 attachments.
