Due to a number of really complicated situations. We at CMU find ourself very short on people that understand the novell network Currently there are only two and neither of them is a real expert. Because one of those two is moving to another job and the other is the manager for all the computing services on campus, I have been made system maintainer for the novell networks on campus, a position that I am reluctant to hold because of my total inexperience with the network. Consequently I am new to this board and I have a few questions. We are running netware v2.01 and our printer a HP laserjet was moved to another place and replaced with an apple laserwriter Plus. Because of the management change we just through the thing into Diablo 630 mode so that we would not be without a printer but we are more interested in running it in postscript mode. The problem arises from the fact that even if we send it pure postscript the printer gags on it because the network sends a cover page that fouls up the printer. What I am wondering is: is there any way that we can install a device driver on the server that will convert the printing to postscript (we currently have one) or is there any way to tell the network to not print the cover page or tell the server to send a different cover page (one that is in postscript). Because of my inexperience with the network these may not even be the appropriate questions. So if any there is another way around the problem of printing to a postscript printer using v2.01 of netware please tell me about it. Ben Woodard Asst.
