[bit.listserv.novell] Trouble downloading fonts

CCGT@MUSICA.MCGILL.CA (Graham Thorpe) (02/03/90)

I have been trying to download some fonts to an HP Laserjet.
Using the DOWNLOAD program supplied with the HP soft fonts does not
seem to work.
We have Netware 2.10 running over ARCNET. The capture command has
been set as follows: CAPTURE TI=30 NB NFF.We have tried many different
combinations without success.
Here is the really strange part. If I login to another server on the
network (running Netware 2.15) and then attach to the first one the
download is successful to the same printer and print queue. We then
suspected differences in the CAPTURE command. This did not make a
difference, we tried the CAPTURE from 2.15 with the 2.10 network and it
still didn't work.

Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Thanks

If I err, here I apologize: I went straight from 2.0a to 2.15. In order to get
downloaded fonts to work, you must specify "Byte Stream" instead of "Text". You
can either do this in printcon, or (more easily) by specifying the NoTab flag on

the capture command line.

Use NT with your capture command.
