The notes about bugs in MAKEUSER (passwords suddenly no longer being required) remind me of another undocumented feature I encountered. It happened when: 1. MAKEUSER tried to create a user ID which already existed. 2. MAKEUSER was asked to assign trustee rights to that user. 3. MAKEUSER later created another (non-pre-existing) user ID from the same .USR file. When MAKEUSER found that the old ID existed, it properly noted such and went on. However, the next new ID that it could create was granted not only the trustee rights that it was supposed to get, but the rights that were to be granted to the pre-existing ID as well. In fact, when there were several pre-existing IDs in a row, MAKEUSER saved all their rights up and granted them all to the next new ID it created. (The rights I'm referring to are only those rights specified in the .USR file.)
