This is the case of a phantom directory which is really not a phantom
directory. I have created a directory on the Novell server (being logged
in as SUPERVISOR) called MIDUS (note the single S at the end). Then, I
created one called MIDUSS and installed the software called Miduss under
 MIDUSS.
Guess what ? The directory MIDUS cannot be deleted. I looked at it. It is not
Read-Only, it is empty, I am the supervisor, but it wan't allow itself to be
deleted. An RD MIDUS command return
directory not found, not empty .. blah blah blah
	message.
We have novell 2.15a, dos 3.3 on the workstation. I doubt I am missing
 somethin
	   g
	obvious.

First shot, try using FILER to delete the directory. I have had other
"Cannot delete director" problems that were solved by using Filer.
Since I got rid of the unwanted stuff, I never though what the cause
could be.
