We are trying to set up workgroups and work group managers, WGMs, but have not had a lot of luck. We can create the WGM but then the WGM cannot create new users who own home directories. It shouldn't be a file security problem because the WGM has trustee assignments for all rights to the directory where the new user directory is to be placed. When the WGM creates the new account the following error message is displayed: ****************************************************************** SERVER ERROR CreteProperty returned an error code of 246 DESCRIPTION An attempt to add a new property to the bindery object "SUPERVISOR" failed. The new property was "HOMEDIRPATH". SEVERITY The current operation cannot be completed. ****************************************************************** Does anyone at Novell read this thing? Is this a known bug? Am I supposed to do something that isn't mentioned in the manuals? We have made numerous postings about this problem but have not received any replies. Please either post a reply (since I doubt that we are the only ones who would like to use workgroups) or mail direct to MCGINNIS@KUHUB.CC.UKANS.EDU or MCGINNIS@UKANVAX for bitnet. Thanks.
