[bitnet.swl-l] GaAs FET 2SK152

liou%husc6.harvard.edu.uucp@BBN.COM (01/10/90)

As far as I know, 2SK is a Japanese numbering system for FET.

        2 -- 3-terminal device (ground wire doesn't count)
       SK -- FET-type transistor

I don't remember if GaAs FET is included in this numbering or not.
There is an anually published databook on Japanese transistors which is
easy to be found in Taiwan. Manufacturer, electrical properties and outline
drawings are included. But sorry I don't know where to get it in the U.S.
Commonly found manufacturers are Sony, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, etc.

It doesn't sound reasonable to me to use GaAs FET for HF front-ends because it
is much noisier for frequencies under UHF.
