Had anybody noticed a sharp decline in the quality of the freq listings in MT for January? All of a sudden, they lost a lot of difficult but interesting broadcasters (ABC, New Guinea, India, etc) and had a lot of the space filled with freqs for Radio Moscow and the BBC. Until now, the Beeb and RM were listed, but many of the dozens of freqs were omitted. I know if I close my eyes and punch 5 numbers on my receiver, I'll probably hit Moscow....why use the space to list their 40 odd freqs? Also, being from the left coast, I noticed that the quantity of listings decreased after about 0700GMT, as well as the quality! Is this an East Coast bias? (OK, sure, many broadcasters don't beam directly to the U.S. in the middle of our night, but somebody other than RM is talking English somewhere...) Maybe it's just the awful appearance of all those RM freqs, since I did notice a couple of new listings (e.g. Radio Oranje). Marc Kenig Informix Software, Inc. ...!pyramid!infmx!marc
