[bitnet.swl-l] BBC schedule costs

"Brian P. McCarty (N9IWP)" <UCSBPM@UWPLATT.EDU> (01/18/90)

Recent postors have been correct in saying that one can obtain
"London Calling" the BBC World Sevice schedule for $15 (or whatever)
They are also correct in saying that one can write to them
and get a complimentry copy.
What they fogot to mention is when you get the complimentary copy,
you get a shet telling you how to subscribe. What it ALSO says
is that the BBC does not cahrge for Libraries, Teachers and (I think)
Journalists. If you are really cheap you can
1)Just get the compl. copy, since freqs/usual progs don't change that much
2)Bug your local library to get it (mention it's FREE)
3)Bug a freiendly professor/journalist to get it.
I got a friendly prof to subscribe, unfortunately he quit.
