>From the 8 January 1990 issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology:
"A new over-the-horizon radar built by GE Aerospace has begun tracking
targets at long ranges. The first aircraft to be detected was flying
northwest of Vancouver, B.C., 938 mi. from the radar's bistatic
transmitters near Christmas Valley in southern Oregon. The receivers
are at Tulelake, Calif. Signals are processed at Mountain Home AFB,
Idaho. When completed in 1990, the system will warn the North American
Air Defense Command of aircraft at ranges of 500 - 1,800 mi."
Possibly more utility band QRM?
