I am interested in knowing about the broadcast either TV or rado of
the international cricket matches whch will take place in near future.
England is visiting West Indies right now: Are there any ball by
ball commentaries which are audible in Unites States? I understand that there
is going to be a telecast of all the matches on a satellite for beaming to
Britain. Where can I get an info about the statellite (location, transponder,
visibilty in the U. S etc). Also, An Australian team is scheduled to visit
England this summer. Has anybody ever received a ball by ball commentary on
Test matches played in Britain ?
I am posting this letter to rec.radio.shortwave since there are a
large number of SWL's who read this newsgroup. Hopefully there will be some
cricket enthusiasts in the group.
I have another question. Are there many domestic services in
English Language broadcast on shortwave which one can receive here. I can
receive at time All India Radio. Does ABC (Australian) broadcast anything on
shortwave which we can receive? My interest in domestic broadcast is to hear
their news and see how they cover international news. Radio Australia and BBC
World Service are fine as they go, but they do not give any inkling as to how
they tell their domestic listeners about the world events.
