I had a Prowriter printer when I bought my first Mac, and, knowing that the Mac Imagewriter was a slightly reworked Prowriter, and only having a parallel port on the printer, I wrote an Imagewriter emulator on my Z-80 S-100 computer which translated the few different graphic commands and sent them to the Prowriter parallel port. I had to keep track of graphic vs. non-graphic mode, to prevent modifying graphic data that looked like commands. Gave me a big print buffer, too. --- Merlyn LeRoy
