Hi Netters, I was wondering if anyone out there had the source code for a VMS tape tool that would allow you to copy a file directly from a tape to a disk file. It doesn't have to have any of the extra `dd' features, just direct copy. The reason I ask is that we do not have one of the old tape drives on our UNIX system anymore, but would still like to be able to read the tapes once in a while to copy onto 8mm etc. But because the tapes are foreign we cannot just use copy. Any pointers here would be appreciated. ant -- V ant "It's great to be young and insane" \o/ ant@brolga.cc.uq.oz.au - Dream Team -O- Anthony Murdoch Prentice Centre /0\ Phone (07) 36 54078 University of Qld
